A highly experienced mediator and legal professional with nearly 40 years in dispute resolution, he has held a legal practising certificate since being admitted to practice in 1989. His career includes senior leadership roles with organisations such as the National Native Title Tribunal, the Anti-Discrimination/Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, DJAARA, the Cape York Land Council, as well as serving as Deputy Commissioner of the Family Responsibilities Commission and Secretary of the national Stolen Children Inquiry. Jim’s early career included roles in insolvency, censorship and the National Crimes Authority.
